2018 Favorites

I can't believe another year is gone. Time flies... 2018 has been an amazing reading year. I surpassed my reading goal and discovered tons of amazing new authors. Just like last year I can't choose a favorite book for the year, not even five... so once again I will share one to three favorite books per month (as I've read). It will be a mix of romance books and young adult and all titles will take you to the book's review. Have fun browsing!  Ready?

Cavalier (Crimson Elite #1) by T.L. Smith

*adult content* Have you ever read the Blurb for an upcoming book, fell in love with it, than read the book and didn't quite understand how the author came up with that blurb? That is how I feel right now. it was a good book, but I feel cheated. I expected something else...

Hating to Love You by Erin Rylie [arc review]

Loving the cover for Hating to Love You I am proud to say I am friends with this wonderful new writer. Her book was great. If you are a romance lover, give this a go! *Adult Content*

The Studying Hours (How to Date a Douchebag #1) by Sara Ney

*adult content* What on earth did I just read? There are douchebags, and than there is Oz and Zeke. They are on a level of their own. It was seriously hate at first sight. So how I ask, how exactly did it happen, that I am also 100% in love with said douchebags? Either I have a problem or Sara Ney has magical powers. This can't be normal.

Love, Sincerely, Yours by Sara Ney and Meghan Quinn

If the Blurb alone doesn't get you interested in this book I will be surprised. My beautiful friend  Becky  gave me this book and I might maybe have put a book by one of these fabulous authors up on my tbr... as in, the next read... maybe... 🤣

My One and Only Duke (Rogues to Riches #1) by Grace Burrowes [arc review]

And  Read Forever  strikes again! Another great Historical Romance with plenty of charm and wit. My one and Only Duke has a great blend of romance and enigma.  My One and Only Duke by Grace Burrowes Blurb: A funny thing happened on the way to the gallows... One minute, London banker Quinn Wentworth is facing execution. The next, he's declared the long-lost heir to a dukedom. Quinn has fought his way up from the vilest slums, and now he's ready to use every dirty trick he knows to find the enemy who schemed against him. There was just one tiny problem... Jane Winston, the widowed, pregnant daughter of a meddlesome prison preacher, crosses paths with Quinn in jail. Believing his days are numbered, Quinn offers Jane marriage as a way to guarantee her independence and provide for her child. Neither thinks they'll actually have a future together. They were wrong. He's a wealthy gutter rat out for vengeance. She's a minister's daughter who must turn a marria

Highlander Ever After (The MacGregors: Highland Heirs #8) by Paula Quinn [arc review]

I don't often read historical romances, but I am most definitely reading the other 7 books in this series now! This was phenomenal-  Enchanting from beginning to end ! It will definitely go on the list of favorites for the year (working on that post at the moment). I started reading this beauty while my kiddos where taking a nap and I proceeded to ignore them for the rest of the day 🤣 I just needed to know the rest! (on my defense I work from home and my kids usually get a lot of my attention)

Seducing Cinderella (Fighting for Love #1) by Gina L. Maxwell

Today we are stepping back in time a little and reviewing an older book; Seducing Cinderella by Gina Maxwell was published back in 2012. I only discovered this amazing author at the beginning of this year (her book  Merciless  was published this past May and I somehow got it). That means I am still discovering her stuff. Seducing Cinderella was ADORABLE! I already ordered the next books in the series on amazon. Gimme Gimme Gimme!

Rock Rebel (Nothing But Trouble #3) by Tara Leigh [arc review]

I have a soft spot for Rock Star Romances. Stage Dive by Kylie Scott and Sixth Street Band Series by Jayne Frost are some of my favorite contemporary romances. So needless to say when the author Tara Leigh told me I could sign up to read this arc I jumped at the opportunity. And now I have another Rock Star Romance book to love... Rock Rebel is the third book in the series, and although I have not yet  read the other two it didn't impact the story in a bad way. Much the contrary, I am dying of curiosity about the other boys and must  read the previous books!

Cover Reveal: Pan by Gina L. Maxwell

I never do Cover Reveal outside my Instagram Stories... but... special people call for special posts! :) Love this author so very much! She is the reason you will find taboo romances on my feed. So you know... send her your thanks and add her upcoming book to your TBR.   New York Times bestselling author Gina L. Maxwell introduces  Pan, a sexy contemporary romance retelling of Peter Pan, and the first book in her brand new Neverland series. Synopsis: Once upon a time, in Neverland, North Carolina—I fell in love. I was twelve when Peter first climbed up to my balcony. Thirteen when I sneaked out to see him at the School for Lost Boys. Seventeen when his touch made me fly, And eighteen when his words made me cry. We were magnetic, drawn to each other from that very first night, and what I thought would be forever. But  when it came time for me to leave, he wouldn’t come with, so  I left town with a map for my future and a shattered heart. Ten years la

Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass #7) by Sarah J. Maas

That was a beast of a book! I don't even remember last time it took me a week to finish a book (or last time I touched a book that long). Did I love Kingdom of Ash? Yes, I did! But was it without fault? Not at all. There were a lot of things that annoyed me. It was a good ending, but it won't be the book I will remember from the series in a few years time. It was a well written book while at the same time being forgetful... anyway... lets get on with this blurb and review shall we?
